Creating a Custom Role (Coming Soon)
Custom roles let you define a named permission set once and apply it to multiple technicians — useful for distinguishing lead technicians from helpers. This feature is in development and coming in a future update.
Best Practices
- Least privilege — start with the default technician permissions and add only what's needed. This reduces the risk of accidental edits.
- Lead technicians — enable View team schedule and Edit job details for senior crew members who coordinate on-site.
- Solo operators — if you're the only person in the field, set your own account to Manager role for full access without switching.
Audit Log
Every action taken within CrewBrix (job edits, invoice sends, payment collections) is logged with the user's name and timestamp. Owners and Managers can review the audit log in Settings → Security → Activity Log.
